Stub Number Of Children Living

**'''[[(FamiliesWiki/Stub)Number of Children Living]]''':

This is a stub for a census event in an individual's record.

On the actual census form, the column may be headed #Child Living (1900).

This question is supposed to be asked only of women. It is supposed to be the number of children she has ever borne who are still living at the time of the census.

This stub can be omitted for males and young girls if the cell is blank. If the cell is not blank there has obviously been some kind of error, and the stub should be entered with the value shown in the cell with a note stub explaining the situation.

Do not omit this stub for females apparently of childbearing age or greater. Leave the stub blank if the cell is blank and enter 0 if the cell has 0.

This question is asked with the question of how many children total a woman has ever borne, living or dead. See: Number of Children. Naturally it is an error if children living exceeds number of children. The stub should be filled out according to the census cell with a note stub appended.
