Amelia "Mela" Merriman

Amelia Merriman is not found in many common genealogies. She was apparently unknown to Donald L. Jacobus, the principal Merriman genealogist of the 19th century. It is little wonder. She was baptized in an Episcopal church with the given name "Mela" and her surname spelled with one r.
